Common Concerns About Home CCTV Installation

Will installation damage my walls?

No. Our installers are skilled tradesmen who drill only the minimum holes required and use cable trunking or concealed routes wherever possible. We use appropriate fixings for brick, render, timber and other surfaces.

Is it obvious that CCTV has been installed?

It depends on your preference. We can install highly discreet cameras that are barely noticeable, or visible deterrent cameras in prominent positions. Most homeowners choose a mix of both.

What happens in a power cut?

For most domestic systems, cameras will temporarily stop recording during a power cut but resume automatically when power returns. We can fit UPS battery backup to high security installations if continuous operation is required.

Can I film my neighbour's property?

No. Your cameras should only cover your own property. During installation we can use privacy masking in the camera software to block out any overlap into neighbouring gardens or windows, keeping you fully GDPR compliant.
